The clove tree, native to Indonesia and widely cultivated in Madagascar, is a tree with an established reputation. Its flower buds, called “ cloves ”, reveal a powerful fragrance, reminding many of the characteristic smell of dental offices. This olfactory signature is due to the notable presence of eugenol, a key component of this essence.
