Our organic Roman chamomile hydrosol (Chamaemelum nobile, also known as Anthemis nobilis) is steam-distilled from flowers grown in France. Its softly honeyed, fruity aroma recalls fresh apples and brings a comforting note to everyday care.
Traditionally used in French aromatherapy, Roman chamomile hydrosol is valued for soothing sensitive skin, encouraging relaxation and supporting digestive comfort. Professional literature describes its use for nervous tension, restlessness, difficulty settling to sleep, digestive spasms and colic, as well as applications in infant care, including teething discomfort.
For skincare, this hydrosol is particularly valued for soothing delicate, redness-prone skin. Use it as a facial toner or freshly prepared compress, either alone or blended with rose, neroli or cornflower hydrosol.
How to use: Mist onto the face with eyes closed and follow with moisturiser. For an evening ritual, lightly mist bed linen with Roman chamomile and lavender hydrosols, allowing it to dry before use.
Internal use (adults): Dilute 1 teaspoon (5 ml) in 150–200 ml of water and take once or twice daily. For an evening routine, take half an hour before bedtime.
Storage: Keep cool, away from sunlight and heat. Refrigerate the remaining hydrosol when decanting a smaller bottle for daily use.
